This dataset is comprised of the variety of skate and ray egg casings found on Wexford beaches through survey work. It includes the number of egg casings found from each species that has been identified in the process of the examination of the casings. The species found include Small-spotted catshark (Scyliorhinus canicular), Thornback ray (Raja clavata), Small-eyed ray (Raja microocellata), Blonde ray (Raja brachyura), Spotted ray (Raja montagui), Undulate ray (Raja undulata) and Cuckoo ray (Leucoraja naevus).
Geographic Coverage: The geographic extent and coverage include the described transects on the following beaches on the coast of Wexford, Cahore South Beach, Morris Castle Beach, Curracloe beach, Old Bawn Beach, Ballinoulart Bay Beach, Askingarran Lower Bay Beach, Ballinoulart Bay Beach and Fodagh Bay Beach.
