The anchors were raised in 1985 and unveiled in their present location in 1986 as a monument to all those who were lost at sea from Wicklow. 3

Thought to have been built to treat victims of cholera in the outbreak of 1866. Up to c.1990's it had a corrugated roof and was used as cattle sheds. 7
